Mold-Free Coffee You Can Trust

Clean coffee shouldn’t be complicated.

Our mold-free, low acid organic coffees are tested, thoughtfully sourced, and roasted for people who care what goes in their cup.

At Seven Weeks Coffee, we partner directly with farmers, verify quality through third-party labs, and roast in small batches so you get coffee that’s cleaner, smoother, and responsibly produced.

What Is Mold-Free Coffee?

Mold can grow on coffee beans before and after harvest if beans aren’t dried thoroughly. Some molds produce mycotoxins, toxic compounds that are the real concern, not the mold itself.

At its core, mold-free coffee refers to beans handled, dried, and tested in ways that significantly lower the chance of mold and mycotoxin exposure.

Mold-Free Coffee FAQs

Is mold-free coffee real?

Yes, when it’s backed by proper sourcing and lab testing.

Coffee beans grow in humid climates and can develop mold if drying or storage isn’t handled correctly. Some molds may produce mycotoxins, which is why quality control matters. Mold-free coffee generally refers to beans that are carefully processed and verified through third-party testing to ensure mold and mycotoxin levels are below detectable limits.

Does Seven Weeks Coffee test for mold and yeast?

Yes.

Seven Weeks Coffee uses third-party laboratories to test for mold and yeast. This adds transparency beyond standard industry practices and helps ensure our coffee meets strict quality standards. You can review our test results here.

Is mold-free coffee the same as low acid coffee?

Not automatically.

Mold testing and acidity are separate factors. Coffee acidity depends on origin, altitude, and roast level. A coffee can be mold-tested without being low acid, and vice versa.

Is your coffee organic?

All of our coffee is organically farmed, and our Espresso and Dominican Roast are USDA Certified Organic, meaning they’re grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers and follow strict agricultural standards.

How is Seven Weeks different from other “clean coffee” brands?

Four things:

  • Direct Trade sourcing for traceability and ethical partnerships
  • Third-party testing for mold and mycotoxins
  • Small-batch fresh roasting for better flavor and quality
  • Mission-driven impact by donating 10% of every sale to pro-life organizations across the country
