These $2 Million weren’t promised or pledged, they were already donated by Seven Weeks Coffee drinkers and the money is already in the hands of pregnancy care centers. The money has already been converted into ultrasounds and car seats and diapers and financial emergency checks for moms who were scared and needed one person, one organization, one moment of help them choose life. That number is real now, and it happened because of something as small and ordinary as your morning cup of coffee.
That subscription you probably set up once and don’t think much about. A gift you grabbed for someone you love and want to make sure they’re consuming quality and purpose filled coffee. Multiply that by tens of thousands of people who decided their everyday purchases could carry the incredibly valuable mission of supporting women and saving lives, and you get two million dollars moved into the most unglamorous, most essential work in the pro-life movement.
From One Million to Two In a Year
If you've been with us a while, you remember last July, when we hit our first million. It felt enormous at the time, it was a number we'd worked towards for years, and it was finally accomplished one bag, one subscription, one wholesale partnership at a time. We threw a little bit of a party for that one, and rightly so.
What we didn't expect was how fast the next million would come. A year later, here we are — doubled. And nothing about our model or method changed, but because more of you showed up for it. More people decided that where their money goes actually matters. More people wanted their coffee to do something besides wake them up.
That's the part that gets us every time: the second million came faster than the first, and it didn't take a single splashy gimmick to do it. All it took was people reordering their favorite roast, month after month, because they believed in what it was funding.
What Two Million Dollars Actually Looks Like
Numbers this size can start to feel abstract, so let's make it concrete. Right now, our giving reaches a network of more than 1,500 pro-life organizations in all 50 states. These organizations include: crisis pregnancy centers, maternity homes, and family resource ministries that show up for women on what might be the scariest day of their lives. This isn't money sitting in a fund somewhere. It's grants that pay for ultrasound machines, electricity bills, and the salaries of people who are committing to do this work professionally. It's partnership months that cover a family's needs for an entire year. It's the $700 grant one center told us "truly was an answer to prayer" during a financial crunch. It's diapers, pack-n-plays, car seats, and Bible study materials for women choosing life in circumstances that would break most people.
We don't say this to pat ourselves on the back. We say it because every one of those grants started as somebody's Tuesday morning coffee order. That's the whole model. That's always been the whole model. And that’s what we will continue doing, so any woman facing an unplanned pregnancy is able to find the resources and support she needs to be empowered to choose life.
Why We Started This in the First Place
Seven Weeks Coffee didn't start as a coffee company that decided to add a cause later. It started as a desire to help women and babies in need, and a business was built around that. Our founder Anton, watched how godly principles often get sidelined in public life, and companies treating profit as the only thing that mattered. It sometimes seems as if social causes are used as virtue signaling and as tools to earn empathy from the consumers, but rarely any of that lands into concrete help. He believed there had to be another way to do business, one where the product and the purpose were the same thing.
The name itself carries the whole idea. Seven weeks is the standard gestational age at which the baby’s heartbeat is measured in an ultrasound. Every bag of our coffee is named after that moment on purpose. We wanted a company where buying your coffee and standing for life in a very practical and real way, so where you buy your coffee and your values were never two separate decisions.
Ten percent of every sale goes directly to pregnancy care centers. Not ten percent of profit after everything else gets paid first. Ten percent, every time, no matter what. That commitment is the engine behind every dollar of these two million.
The Centers Doing the Actual Work
The help we give is not an abstraction to us. We often hear stories from the clinics and centers. These are the actual sentences that come back to our team when a grant lands in a center's account. Every one of them is a reminder of what this whole thing is for; it’s not a sales pitch, nor a marketing number, but a real woman in a waiting room who got help because enough people decided their coffee could do something important for others.
The Model We Are Running
Here's what makes this milestone different from a typical corporate donation announcement: there's no marketing department deciding this is a good quarter to do something generous. Instead, what we have is a fixed public commitment: ten percent of every sale, every single time that runs whether anyone is watching or not. We work with our consumers to meet this goal on a daily basis and when the big numbers are reached, we celebrate as a team. And we continue, since this goal was reached, we’ve continued to ship more orders and partner with more pro-life organizations.
That's the difference between a marketing campaign and a mission. Campaigns end when the attention does. A mission keeps compounding in the background, until one day you look up and the number says two million.
How You Become Part of the Next Million
If any part of this made you want in, here's what actually moves the number: a subscription that reorders itself so you never have to think about it again, a bag gifted to someone who mentioned they need a better coffee routine, a wholesale partnership if you run a coffee shop, church, or office that goes through beans every week, or simply telling one friend why your coffee habit does something theirs doesn't. Genuine word of mouth is our best marketing trick and we’d love for you to be part of it, if you feel the conviction.
None of this requires you to become an activist or post anything online you're not comfortable posting. The entire model was built so that ordinary consumption — the coffee you were going to drink anyway — becomes the advocacy. You don't have to change your morning. You just have to choose whose hands your coffee money ends up in.
This Is Not The End Goal
Here's what excites us most about hitting two million: it isn't a finish line. It's proof of concept, at scale, that this actually works; that thousands of small, ordinary purchasing decisions add up into something that changes outcomes for real women and real babies in real waiting rooms across the country.
The first million took years to build. The second took about one. If that trajectory holds, the third million isn't a someday goal, it's already in motion and God willing, a goal we will reach quite soon. Let’s see how soon. And in the meantime, we will continue to work towards that number with one bag, one subscription, one gift order at a time.
So if you've ever ordered from us, forwarded a link to a friend, gifted a bag at Christmas, or set up a subscription and let it run — this is your milestone too. THANK YOU! On behalf of our team, the clinics and centers we partner with, and all the families touched by your generosity. You didn't just buy coffee. You funded ultrasounds. You funded car seats. You funded the kind of help that shows up in someone's most frightened moment and kindly says, you're not doing this alone.
